Welcome to Friends of Oakbridge!

We’re thrilled to introduce Friends of Oakbridge, a new and exciting group made up of parents and staff who share a common goal: supporting our school and enriching the experience for every child. This group will play a vital role in bringing our community together through fun, creative, and inclusive events that raise funds for projects and resources that make a real difference.

From family-friendly fairs and seasonal celebrations to innovative fundraising ideas, Friends of Oakbridge is all about combining purpose with enjoyment. Every penny raised will go directly toward enhancing learning opportunities, improving facilities, and creating memorable experiences for our children.

But it’s not just about fundraising—it’s about friendship, teamwork, and building a stronger school community. Whether you have a little time or a lot, there will be plenty of ways to get involved, share ideas, and join in the fun.

Meet Our Little Friends of Oakbridge
Alongside our parent and staff team, we’re thrilled to introduce Little Friends—a group of enthusiastic children chosen from across the school. These young ambassadors will share their ideas, help promote events, and bring their creativity to every fundraising activity. Their voices will ensure that our efforts reflect the spirit of Oakbridge and make fundraising fun for everyone!

Lynn Gill	Chair	Grandma to Luca Coates. Lynn was a Personnel Manager & has worked in retail for over 25 years until she made the decision to retire & spend more quality time with her family. Lynn has experience of nurturing & developing people, working within the community and has been involved in a wide range of fundraising events for charity. Lynn loves to bake & decorate cakes & is always trying new ideas. Her family are her testers & sometimes say no more cake, please step away from the kitchen!
Sophie Wood	Treasurer	Mum to Ava Wood. Sophie brings over five years of bookkeeping and accounting know-how to the PTA and currently crunches numbers full-time for North Yorkshire Council within the Children and Young People Services department. When she’s not balancing budgets, you’ll find her balancing barbells at the gym, getting stuck into a page turning crime or mystery novel, or attempting to tackle yet another ambitious DIY project in her ongoing home renovation (big emphasis on attempting!)
Harriet Sayer	Secretary	Mum to Penny Sayer. Hattie brings plenty of creativity and energy to her role as PTA Secretary. A graphic designer and small business advocate, she loves helping local businesses shine through great branding and marketing — and puts those same skills to use supporting the PTA’s fundraising events and visual projects. She’s passionate about art, craft, and all things creative, and is rarely far from her chocolate lab, Milo! Hattie is always up for a challenge and a deadline, especially if there’s a theme involved!
