Admissions Arrangements

Oakbridge Church of England Primary School is part of the Dales Academies Trust and is located in North Yorkshire. Children are admitted into school in accordance with North Yorkshire County Council admissions arrangements which are published on the County Council website here.  You can find further information about our admissions here

Attendance

Oakbridge Primary School recognises that positive behaviour and good attendance are essential in order to raise standards of pupil attainment and to give every child/young person the best educational experience possible. For our children to gain the greatest benefit from their education, it is vital that they attend regularly and be at school, on time, every day the school is open unless the reason for the absence is unavoidable.

Behaviour Policy

Oakbridge CofE Primary School is committed to creating an environment where exemplary behaviour is at the heart of productive learning. Our behaviour policy guides staff to teach self-discipline, not blind compliance. Pupils have a right to be happy and our policy has the following key Christian Values at its heart: love, compassion, courage, community.

Collective Worship

As a church school, Oakbridge values daily Collective Worship opportunities. Children access age-appropriate Collective Worship from EYFS.

Our Collective Worship plans link to our Christian vision and values. We also focus on important aspects of our pupils’ development, such as understanding British Values, equality and fairness.

Complaints Procedure

It is in everyone’s interest that complaints are resolved at the earliest possible stage. Many issues can be resolved informally, without the need to invoke formal procedures. As a school we take informal concerns seriously and make every effort to resolve the matter as quickly as possible.

There are occasions when complainants would like to raise their concerns formally. In these cases, the school’s formal procedure should be invoked.

School Opening Hours

Our school day will start at 8:45am and end at 3:15pm. The classroom doors will be open from 8:30am to allow for a positive start to the day.

Our school week involves a compulsory 32.5 hours in school.
