Our entire curriculum, including Languages, is underpinned by the Parable of ‘The Wise and Foolish Builders’

The Wise and Foolish Builders 

24 “Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. 25 The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock. 26 But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand. 27 The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell with a great crash.”

As we do not have any KS2 classes, this curriculum area is currently being developed.

How we will support children with SEND in Languages 

Adaptations in primary language lessons are essential for supporting children with SEND because they ensure that every learner can access and engage meaningfully with the curriculum. By adjusting teaching methods—such as using visual aids, multi‑sensory activities, simplified instructions, or additional processing time—teachers can remove barriers that might otherwise limit a child’s ability to participate and progress. These adaptations not only help children build confidence and communication skills but also foster an inclusive classroom environment where diverse needs are recognised and valued.
